Announcing the release of the official "Celebrate '98" video documentary, chronicling the events held in Seneca Falls, New York in July of 1998 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first women's rights convention. This 83-minute production features highlights from inspirational speeches by leaders in politics, education and women's rights, historical background on the 1848 convention, interviews with historians and coordinators of "Celebrate '98", historical reenactments and interpretations, and musical and theatrical performances. Weaving these events into three powerful themes: Honoring the Past; Assessing the Present; and Envisioning the Future, the presentation effectively relates the movement that began in Seneca Falls in 1848 to issues of overwhelming importance to women today, in the United States and around the world.
